I don't think I'd think too hard about a temp gauge unless the console already has a blank punched for a gauge. The problem is that tractor gauges have to be somewhat weather-proof. Weather-proof screw on gauges may not be available and cutting a hole in the console would be a bit of trouble.

In general, most any 12V sensor and gauge that are intended to work together might provide OK readings, but acceptable locations to drill and tap a port for the sensor would have to be found. Casting thickness affects how successful a drilling/tapping job works, and location/depth affects accuracy of readings.

However, someplace in the world some model tractor that has a temp gauge probably uses the same engine. A sensor, gauge and flange with a hole already tapped probably is available somewhere. A JD parts manual might identify part numbers for tractors not manufactured for sale in N.A.

For myself, a hydraulic gauge on the tractor might be interesting but I wouldn't find much need to monitor operating pressures when working the tractor.
